The playfield on my Game Show is very good. It is covered by day 1 factory mylar. I don't plan on removing it right away because it is still in good shape. Picture left shows the finished shop of upper playfield with the ramps removed. When removing ramps its best to be carefull where the spring goes that is on the left of the bottom ramp. It controls the access to the multiball shot. If it falls through while your working, it could be a hastle to get it back through again. I taped mine to the top of the plastic that it rested near. Then when it came time to remove that plastic, it got fastened eleswhere.
This is not an overly difficult game even on the hardest setting.
It's a favorite our my house with kids.
The targets for TV, TRUCK, TRIP, and CAR are collected afterward by entering the right ramp. This can also start 2 ball multiball if all are collected before shooting. It also lights JACKPOT after multiball.
Thats not the best touchup on the spinner but look at that playfield shine!
Some game operators will put black rubber rings on games because they think if they don't have to clean them as often then the machine will look better and get more plays. In my opinion there are very few games black rubber looks good on. They also do not have the bounce that white does. A game is much faster with traditional white.
Putting black rubber on an old electromechanical (EM) game makes it extremely unresponsive.
