Pinball on TV/Movies picture page: Whenever I see a pin on a DVD, I try to take a capture of it to show it here. Some I need help identifying. Check back sometimes as more are added. Also check out pingeek.com for large lists of pins on tv and movies.
Lets start it off with a bang (more or less).
This first one is from the Van Wilder sequel, The Rise of Taj (somewhat disapointing). The sound effects are chimes and moaning. It's seen several times in the film, but this is the most prominent placement at around 16 minutes in.
It has been suggested that it is a conversion of an old Gottlieb game, Car Hop.
I identified the one on the right after searching IPDB. Grats to RGP John P for figuring out the other. A closeup of one is in the scene later on, seen in the next picture. They could have moved them around and it may be one of ones seen earlier
<----- WMS Twenty Grand (1952)
<----- Majors, Chicago Coin (1941), flipperless
Interesting collection of
one armed bandits.
Maybe the vulcan is going to open up the back and fix it.
This episode highlighted an alien culture that had found a book about Chicago gangs in the 1920s and 30s and decided to emulate it. It's amazing that it would have the schematics for these Earth pins as well!!! Perhaps someone left a flyer or two lying around.
From the Star Trek Voyager episode, 11:59
This was the best pic I could get.
But thanks to folks on RGP it has been identified.
Fishtales.
Coming soon: more from Miami Vice
Captain Kirk and the gang are bummed they ran out of nickels.
Star Trek's Walter Koenig talking about his obsession with collecting in a DVD box set interview. Here he stands with his own DE Star Trek pin.
Notice the Babylon 5 pics behind him, where in my opinion he had his best role.
From the Star Trek Voyager episode, Future's End pt1, Ed Begley Jr. Plays a Firepower with no sounds, and apparently no flipper rubber either.
Firepower again to the left, and seems to be in need of some backbox bulbs.
Ed's framed and lit Mystic backglass.
From another Voyager episode, Deathwish a modified Firepower (also missing flipper rubbers)
<----- Could this be Pharoah?
Someone from Voyager was a pinball fan...
Miami Vice: Cool Runnin'
